A strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPN, and firewall policy architecture is essential. You should have practical expertise with Palo Alto NGFW & Panorama and Cisco ASA. Experience with IPSec VPNs (site-to-site & remote access), log analysis, traffic troubleshooting, and threat prevention features is required. Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy, coupled with a solid background in ITIL-based support models, is highly valued. Preferred certifications include PCNSA/PCNSE and CCNA Security.
