Network Patching Specialist – Remote (India)

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 1/2 Network Technician to join our Remote (India) team as a Full-Time Permanent Network Patching Specialist. In this critical role, you will support the patching and maintenance of enterprise networking equipment across multiple clients within our Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. Your responsibilities will include deploying firmware updates, ensuring compliance with security best practices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and maintaining network infrastructure to meet performance and security standards.

• Deploy and ensure timely application of firmware updates and security patches for routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor patching schedules, document successful/failed updates, and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve patch-related bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance issues.
• Ensure patched devices adhere to security best practices and maintain compliance records.
• Proactively monitor system health dashboards to preemptively address potential issues.
• Document maintenance schedules, patch deployments, and resolutions in our ITSM system.
• Respond to IT service requests and incidents related to patching and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot performance, compatibility, and security issues arising from patch deployments.
• Implement proper rollback procedures for failed updates.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, expertise in enterprise patch management, and hands-on knowledge of networking hardware, protocols (Cisco ASA/Meraki, Fortinet, SonicWall), and cybersecurity principles. Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA, experience with MSP tools (ConnectWise, ITGlue), and familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
