Network Operations Specialist

nVent is seeking a dedicated Network Operations Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Mumbai, India. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal health, uptime, and performance of our network infrastructure through continuous monitoring, issue resolution, and proactive maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network systems, servers, and applications using NOC tools to identify and address potential issues promptly.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve network incidents according to established protocols, including customer concern procedures.
• Provide first and second-level troubleshooting for network connectivity, hardware, software, and other technology-related impacts.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, IT support, and vendor teams to resolve complex network challenges.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as system patching, upgrades, and configuration adjustments.
• Generate performance and incident reports for management review.
• Ensure strict adherence to security policies, operational standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT support, or network administration role.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Thousand Eyes, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Industry certifications like CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are considered a plus.
