Network Operations Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for a diligent and proactive Network Operations Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC). This role is responsible for monitoring, resolving, and maintaining the health of our network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and applications using NOC tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Incident Response: Detect, diagnose, and escalate network incidents according to established protocols. Follow customer concern protocols as necessary.
• Troubleshooting: Perform first-level and second-level resolution of technology impacts, network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, IT support, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues.
• Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Reporting: Generate performance and incident reports for management review.
• Compliance: Ensure alignment with security policies, operational standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in a NOC, IT support, or network administration role.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Industry certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent) are preferred.
