Network Operations Specialist

We are seeking a proactive Network Operations Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Mumbai, India. This role is crucial for maintaining the health, uptime, and performance of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and applications using NOC tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Detect, diagnose, and escalate network incidents according to established protocols, including customer concern procedures.
• Perform first and second-level troubleshooting for network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, IT support, and vendor teams to resolve complex network challenges.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Generate performance and incident reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, operational standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in a NOC, IT support, or network administration role.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Industry certifications like CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are preferred.
