Network Operations Specialist - Mumbai, India
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Network Operations Specialist to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Mumbai, India. This role is crucial for monitoring, resolving issues, and maintaining the health of our network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and applications using NOC tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Incident Response: Detect, diagnose, and escalate network incidents according to established protocols, including adherence to customer concern protocols.
- Troubleshooting: Perform first and second-level support for technology impacts, network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with engineering, IT support, and vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as patching, system upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive performance and incident reports for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to security policies, operational standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT support, or network administration role.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Thousand Eyes, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing, and switching.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
