Network Operations Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a motivated Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role is part of our Global network operations, focusing on monitoring and supporting our worldwide network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line network support under the guidance of the TOC shift lead.
• Monitor the organization’s global network infrastructure, responding promptly to alerts to prevent or minimize service outages.
• Review, triage, and troubleshoot incident and service request tickets assigned to the network support team.
• Collaborate with internal Infrastructure, Operations, and Delivery teams, as well as external partners, to resolve issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers, ensuring accurate diagnostic information is communicated for swift resolution within defined SLAs.
• Execute low-level service requests.
• Maintain and update incident reports, shift handovers, and troubleshooting documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment or network operations.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and various protocols.
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Familiarity with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto) is desirable but not mandatory.
• Exposure to Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, GCP) is beneficial but not required.
• CCNA certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Experience working within an ITIL-oriented environment is a plus, but not essential.
