Join Arista Networks as a Network Engineer specializing in Wireless and WiFi technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of network architects, IT infrastructure specialists, security experts, Arista TAC, Help Desk personnel, and customer support teams. You will also work closely with the Arista product lifecycle management team to ensure seamless coordination for upgrades and technical escalations, delivering robust and optimized wireless network solutions.

Your responsibilities will include designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks. You will conduct wireless site surveys and signal analysis, perform packet-level troubleshooting, and analyze network performance. Implementing and supporting wireless security standards such as WPA2/WPA3, EAP, and RADIUS will be key. You will also troubleshoot WiFi authentication and connectivity issues, support indoor and outdoor wireless solutions including mesh networking, and manage upgrades, OS patching, and vulnerability fixes for Arista devices. Conducting network audits, compliance checks, and configuration reviews, along with monitoring performance and optimizing wireless networks, will be part of your daily tasks. You will coordinate technical troubleshooting and escalations with Arista TAC, maintain comprehensive documentation, and generate regular reports. Providing input on best practices and assisting in network design reviews will also be expected. The use of tools for wired and wireless packet capture and analysis is essential.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelors in CS/IT/EC/EE or a related field. Industry-recognized wireless certifications like CWNA, CWAP, or CWSP are a significant advantage. A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in wireless networking is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with both business and technical teams, are essential. Proven experience in packet capture level troubleshooting and a track record of successfully delivering assigned tasks are necessary. Technical support experience in the networking domain is also important. Experience with Arista equipment is a plus. A solid understanding of networking industry products and protocols, including wireless mesh networking, 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF fundamentals/MIMO, wireless clients and drivers, wireless security (WPA2, WPA3), authentication frameworks (EAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS), POE/POE+, AAA/RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, ACL, ARP, 1G/10G Ethernet, ICMP, IPv4 & IPv6, LACP, STP/RSTP/MST, VLANs, MAC Learning, VXLAN, and EoGRE, is required. Experience in implementing and troubleshooting campus and enterprise wireless deployments, including guest access and indoor/outdoor wireless solutions, is crucial. Proficiency with wired and wireless packet capture/analysis tools is highly desired. Knowledge of Arista CV-CUE and Campus Products, along with troubleshooting experience in WIFI networks, performance monitoring, network optimization, and understanding of WIFI technology and standards, will be advantageous. You should be adept at troubleshooting authentication issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Experience with all types of upgrades, including OS patches and vulnerability fixes for Arista Devices, is expected. Responsibilities include reporting (daily/weekly/monthly), coordinating with the Arista team for product lifecycle management, network audits (configuration review, compliance, assistance, and best practices), design review assistance, and network operations support (technical troubleshooting, customer escalation liaison with Arista TAC, Help Desk support, trouble ticket management, and analysis). Regular reporting on trouble tickets is also a key aspect.
