Network & Infrastructure Security Engineer - Quick Joiners Wanted

Syncfusion is seeking a motivated Network & Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our Security Operations team in Chennai. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in cybersecurity operations. The ideal candidate will possess foundational knowledge in network security, endpoint protection, SIEM monitoring, and vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring and monitoring network security devices such as firewalls and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Support endpoint security solutions, including the deployment and monitoring of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Antivirus tools.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
• Assist in configuring mail security features, including anti-spam, anti-phishing, and email filtering policies.
• Conduct vulnerability scans on endpoints and track remediation efforts.
• Support patch management activities for both endpoints and servers.
• Investigate security incidents and escalate them as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive security documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and incident reports.
• Assist in implementing basic access control mechanisms and security hardening policies.
• Collaborate closely with network, cloud, and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to drive security enhancements.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of network security concepts (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN).
• Familiarity with endpoint security tools (EDR, Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention - DLP basics).
• Understanding of SIEM concepts, including log collection, correlation, and alert analysis.
• Knowledge of common email security threats such as phishing, spoofing, and malware.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning concepts, including Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), patching, and remediation tracking.
• Basic understanding of security hardening principles for Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduates from the years 2022 to 2025.
• Minimum of 60% in Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) studies, if applicable.
• Minimum of 65% in Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). HSC is mandatory.
• No academic or professional gaps are permitted.
• Immediate joiners are preferred ('Quick Joiners').
• The role involves three rotational shifts with two days off per week.

Qualification

B.Tech / BE - Any Specialization.

Experience

0 to 2 years of experience.
