Full Job Description
Infosys is actively seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team in Noida. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's robust network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in routing, switching, and managing complex LAN/WAN environments, ensuring optimal network performance, security, and unwavering reliability for our operations in Noida and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain critical network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Effectively manage and troubleshoot LAN and WAN connectivity issues to guarantee high availability and seamless operations.
- Implement and manage proactive network security measures, continuously monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular network performance analysis and contribute to strategic capacity planning.
- Collaborate effectively with various IT teams to support network-related projects and essential upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and established procedures.
- Provide expert technical support and resolve escalated network issues promptly and efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of Routing and Switching protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, and VLANs.
- Proven experience with LAN/WAN technologies and diverse network topologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from leading vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or similar.
- Familiarity with core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPNs.
- A strong understanding of fundamental network security principles and firewall configurations.
- Tools & Platforms:
- Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Nagios.
- Hands-on experience with command-line interfaces such as Cisco IOS or comparable environments.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry-recognized networking certifications are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
