Network Engineer - Gurgaon/Gurugram

Huntingcube is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon/Gurugram, India. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-performance network operations in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize network performance through continuous monitoring, proactive troubleshooting of network issues and outages, strategic upgrade scheduling, and network tuning.
• Provide essential hands-on network support for critical production environments, including data centers, trading floors, and office networks.
• Administer and support robust firewall environments.
• Ensure network infrastructure stability by upgrading data network equipment to the latest secure firmware releases.
• Deliver direct technical support for Linux and related technologies within a demanding production/live trading environment.
• Address networking issues and provide support for Linux servers in a production/live trading context.
• Demonstrate knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as Multicast routing, PIM, and IGMP.
• Assist with network monitoring and troubleshooting of Linux-based servers, including hardware changes, software installations, and system upgrades.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• An engineering degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or any other discipline with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Possession of CCNA or CCNP certification in Routing & Switching is highly desirable.
• Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be considered an advantage.
• Proven ability to set up and configure server hardware efficiently.
• Expertise in VPN technologies including IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and Site-to-Site VPN.
• Proficiency with firewall management, specifically Cisco ASA and Palo Alto.
• Strong experience in Routing and Switching concepts such as VLANs, Inter VLAN routing, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, Layer 3 routing, BGP, static routing, and dynamic routing protocols.
• Solid experience in Firewall and Network Security best practices.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages like Shell or Python.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, with a preference for experience in the financial industry.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
• A strong capacity for quickly learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
