Network Engineer Opportunity in Ahmedabad

Forensic Cybertech seeks a skilled Network Engineer to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our internal company networks. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our server connectivity, VPN tunnels, firewall configurations, and secure communication channels across multiple office environments, cloud platforms, and remote infrastructure setups.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage VPN setups, VLANs, access controls, NAT rules, DHCP, DNS, and network topologies.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and usage patterns.
• Perform regular security testing and ensure safe network practices.
• Assist in planning and deploying new network infrastructure and upgrades.
• Maintain network devices, documentation, and configuration backups.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and DevOps teams as needed.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues promptly.
• Support the deployment and monitoring of company-wide connectivity solutions.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, Routing, and Switching concepts.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, MikroTik, FortiGate, or pfSense (proficiency in any is acceptable).
• Knowledge of Firewall policies, VPN (Site-to-Site & Client), Load Balancing, and traffic routing strategies.
• Familiarity with basic Linux & Windows server networking configurations.
• Proficiency in using network diagnostic tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, traceroute, ping, and nmap.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Skills / Additional Preferences

• Understanding of advanced security concepts like Zero Trust, NAC, IDS/IPS, or network monitoring solutions.
• Relevant certifications are a plus but not mandatory:
  • CCNA / CCNP / Network+ / Fortinet NSE
