Network Engineer - Qualcomm India Private Limited

Join Qualcomm India Private Limited as a Network Engineer, supporting a dynamic global network infrastructure. This role requires working in 24x7 rotational shifts to provide comprehensive support for diverse network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a heterogeneous global network infrastructure, including Routers, Switches, Data Center Networking gear, and Load Balancers.
• Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Arista DC Networking, and Citrix NetScaler is essential.
• Utilize Monitoring/Observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and CAPM.
• Respond to support requests, troubleshoot service problems, and resolve outages.
• Perform upgrades, new installations, enhancements, and configuration changes.
• Demonstrate expert skills in Routing & Switching Technologies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and procedures.
• Adhere to corporate change management policies and practices.
• Act as a liaison between service groups, customers, and IT management.
• Assist in the global deployment of network infrastructure.
• Collaborate effectively within a virtual global/regional team, navigating cultural and language differences.
• Support a broad range of projects, from enterprise-wide initiatives to localized solutions.
• Interface with other IT groups and internal business units to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of IT networking architectures and implementations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in Core Networking Skills (LAN/WAN/Data Center/Load Balancers).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior solid experience in handling L2, L3 Network issues.
• 3+ years of working experience configuring Cisco IOS and/or NX-OS network equipment.
• Proficiency in protocols/technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, QoS, vPC/MLAG/CLAG, VXLAN, Network Access Control, 802.1x.
• Experience and expertise with TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with individual, group, and vendor-assisted troubleshooting.
• Experience working in large-scale IT operations and high-risk networks.
• Familiarity with Python and Ansible for network automation.
• CCNP Certification is required.
• Good experience supporting and implementing Campus and Data Center Networks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
• OR 1+ year of Networked Systems-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a non-technical field.
• OR 3+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
