Network Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain our cloud-based network solutions. This role is crucial for optimizing performance, security, and scalability by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align cloud architecture with business needs. You will be instrumental in developing and enforcing cloud network best practices, driving technical strategy, and leading automation efforts for network infrastructure management in public and private cloud environments, including AWS and Azure. Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, implementing security measures like firewalls and intrusion protection systems, assessing and remediating vulnerabilities, and collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams. You will also provide technical support, guide junior staff, and create comprehensive network documentation. Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders on technical strategy and network performance is essential.

What you will do:

• Design and architect secure cloud network solutions in AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce cloud network best practices, guidelines, and standards.
• Partner with other architects to define technical strategy and drive execution.
• Lead automation initiatives for network infrastructure management in public and private cloud.
• Monitor network performance and implement enhancements for speed and reliability.
• Ensure network security alignment with industry best practices through firewalls, intrusion protection systems, and encryption.
• Regularly assess and remediate vulnerabilities and threats using automation.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams on cloud-based network strategies.
• Provide technical support and guidance for network-related issues and optimizations.
• Create network documentation for design, configuration, and standard operating procedures.
• Present technical strategy and network performance reports to stakeholders.

What you will bring:

• 12+ years of experience in network architecture and design, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
• Expert/In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with networking protocols, technologies, and network security practices and tools.
• Mastery of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be available on a 24x7x365 basis for production impacting incidents or key customer events.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
