About The Role
Panasonic Avionics is seeking an MTS III Automation Engineer (Python, Pytest) for our Pune Division in Maharashtra, India. This position supports the development of a next-generation Traffic Management Platform involving network automation, API integration, and infrastructure scripting within SD-WAN and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Python-based automation tools for configuration, deployment, and validation of traffic management platforms.
- Implement automated testing frameworks (PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework) to validate traffic shaping policies across UI, API, and backend layers.
- Create test scenarios for functional, regression, and integration testing using shell scripting on Linux/Unix systems.
- Maintain automation documentation, operational runbooks, and detailed test reports supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub Actions).
Technical Requirements
You must have strong Python programming skills with experience in data processing libraries like pandas. Proficiency in RESTful/SOAP API integration is essential. Knowledge of Linux networking, Docker/Kubernetes containerization, and database management (PostgreSQL/Vertica) is required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Deep Packet Inspection tools (Sandvine/AppLogic).
- Awareness of SD-WAN architectures from major vendors like Cisco or Kognitive.
- Understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and CGNAT.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience in automation development within Agile/Scrum environments. Strong grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is mandatory for this role.
