MOBILE TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy, including roadmap, tools, and framework approach.
• Implement, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to integrate test automation into the Continuous Delivery pipeline.
• Provide leadership, guidance, training, and mentoring to foster test automation adoption across the organization.
• Conduct automation feasibility studies.
• Proactively identify and implement continuous improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation processes.
• Evaluate, select, and optimize the usage of various test automation tools for different testing needs.

Key Skills and Experience

Essential

• Proficiency in automation using Appium for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in defining and operationalizing test automation strategies.
• Proven track record in creating and implementing test automation frameworks for large-scale systems within an agile development environment.
• Hands-on test automation experience in a professional software development setting.
• In-depth knowledge of diverse testing techniques and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD) principles and practices.
• Expertise in agile and waterfall testing methodologies, and familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, etc.
• Experience with both Unit and Integration testing, including exposure to data virtualization tools.
• Experience with multiple test automation frameworks, such as Selenium and Appium.
• Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality test strategies and execution plans, with a specific focus on cross-browser, cross-OS, and cross-device testing.
• Ability to create effective acceptance and integration test automation scripts, and integrate them with CI and code coverage tools to achieve 80% or higher code coverage.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in unstructured, fast-paced environments.
• Good understanding of the Airlines domain (preferred).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, solid communication skills, and proven leadership capabilities – with the capacity to manage multiple test paths concurrently.

Desirable

• Java programming language.
• Experience with e-Commerce applications.
• Familiarity with Agile SCRUM methodologies.
• Knowledge of the Airline Domain.
