Mobile Engineer

About The Role

Must have - 4–8 years of mobile engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience building and shipping scaled production mobile applications. Strong Mobile native, React Native and Type script expertise is required. You should be comfortable building substantial cross-platform applications and understand the iOS and Android fundamentals underneath React Native.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Genie mobile app: Develop new features and experiences in React Native across iOS and Android.
• Create and scale exceptional consumer experiences: Translate product and Figma designs into polished, responsive and intuitive interfaces with strong attention to detail.
• Build and manage native integrations: Work with Apple HealthKit, Health Connect, wearables and other mobile capabilities including push notifications, deep links, authentication, permissions and background sync at scale.
• Build AI-powered experiences: Develop conversational and personalised experiences around Ask Genie, health insights and coaching, including streaming responses, dynamic UI and thoughtful loading/error states.
• Own features end-to-end: Work directly with Product, Design and Backend from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing and production.
• Improve mobile architecture and quality: Contribute to state management, API integration, caching, secure local storage, performance, testing, observability and error handling.
• Own mobile releases & QA: Manage builds, CI/CD, App Store and Google Play releases, crash monitoring and production issues.
