Full Job Description
Join a distributed team at Miratech as a Site Reliability Engineer, supporting a global technology client with a complex microservices environment and a strong emphasis on system observability and reliability. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of critical services.
Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain comprehensive dashboards to monitor over 30 microservices and their interdependencies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and escalate to development teams for code-level fixes when necessary.
- Automate deployment processes and dashboard creation using Python and shell scripting.
- Monitor logs and metrics to ensure consistent and robust observability across all systems.
- Collaborate closely with service owner teams to enhance system health and overall reliability.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align on and define service-level objectives (SLOs).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role.
- Proven hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience utilizing monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation tasks.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and managing containerized environments.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) in production settings.
- Solid understanding of load balancing principles and cloud infrastructure concepts.
