Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer

Location: Ahmedabad, India (Initial Temporary Work From Home; potential transition to Office)
Shift Timing: Night Shift (07:00 PM – 04:00 AM IST)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer with strong expertise in data modeling and semantic model development. This role demands more than traditional report building; it requires deep knowledge of data architecture, robust SSAS/MDX capabilities, and proficiency in constructing scalable semantic models that drive business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Semantic Modeling: Design and develop advanced semantic data models using Microsoft Fabric datasets and Power BI.
• Data Engineering: Build, manage, and optimize Dataflows and pipelines using Power Query to transform multi-source data into scalable BI assets.
• SSAS & MDX Expertise: Develop and maintain SSAS Tabular models; write complex queries in MDX for high-performance reporting.
• Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into structured, performant semantic models.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to data governance, quality standards, and industry best practices in BI architecture.

Required Skills & Experience (4–5 Years Total)

• Mandatory: 3+ years with Microsoft Fabric; 4-5 total years with Power BI development.
  Core Technologies: Semantic modeling, Dataflows, Power Query, SSAS Tabular, MDX queries.
• Data Architecture: Strong grasp of star schemas, relationships, measures, and data warehousing concepts.
• Integration: Proven ability to integrate diverse data sources into unified, scalable datasets using SQL proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Blob Storage).
• Experience optimizing large-scale enterprise BI environments and complex SSAS models.
  Performance Tuning: Techniques for accelerating Power BI visuals and engine performance.
