About the Role

Join Deloitte's AI & Engineering team as a Software Engineer III to help transform technology platforms, drive innovation, and make a significant impact on client achievements. You will work alongside talented professionals reimagining operations that are critical to businesses.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Java (8+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver features across the software development lifecycle.
• Build cloud-based solutions on AWS within containerized deployment environments (EKS/Docker).
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and peer reviews.
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvement, and engineering process enhancement.

Location & Shift

We have locations in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai. Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST or 2 PM to 11 PM IST.

Required Qualifications (7-9 Years Experience)

• Core Java & Backend Engineering: Strong hands-on experience in OOP, clean coding, exception handling, concurrency, streams, and lambdas. Ability to design secure backend code.
• Spring Frameworks: Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful API design, Spring Security/Cloud patterns (authn/authz), JPA/Hibernate for data persistence, and RDBMS/NOSQL optimization.
• AWS Cloud: Building full-stack Java apps on EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda. Managing ALB/API Gateway with React/Angular frontends. Using RDS/DynamoDB. Implementing security via IAM/Cognito/VPC/Secrets Manager.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with CodePipeline/Jenkins/GitHub Actions and Docker/Kubernetes for containerized microservices.

Good to Have Skills

• Certifications: Oracle Certified Associate/Professional (Java), AWS Cloud Practitioner or Developer.
• AWS Services: Experience with S3, CloudFront, VPCs, and centralized logging via CloudWatch.
• Agile Methodologies: Proven experience in Scrum/SAFe environments delivering high-quality features incrementally.
• Diverse Domains: Awareness of industry domains or AI/ML concepts (NLP, deep learning).
