MES Developer

About the Role

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer (Principal Specialist) to join our Digital Technology - Digital Manufacturing Applications team in Bengaluru. You will be key in developing, enhancing, and implementing enterprise MES solutions, integrating with other products for internal Operations customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain UI components using React.js (hooks, functional components), ensuring responsive cross-browser behavior.
• Design RESTful APIs with Python/FastAPI, handling data validation via Pydantic and error management.
• Manage relational databases including PostgreSQL/SQL Server for efficient query writing and schema support.
• Deploy workloads on Azure (App Services, Functions) and assist in CI/CD pipeline development.
• Write unit/integration tests using Jest/RTL or Pytest; actively participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to debug performance issues and support the application life cycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in software development, specifically React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5/CSS3.
• Strong expertise in Python/FastAPI, REST API design, and SQL fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git version control and testing frameworks like Jest/Pytest.

Preferred Qualifications

• TypeScript experience and component libraries such as MUI or Ant Design.
• Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker basics, and understanding of Azure AD concepts.
• Certification in Agile/Scrum methodologies and API documentation standards like Swagger/OpenAPI.
