MERN Stack Developer

Role Overview

Tech Rider is seeking a hands-on MERN Stack Developer with strong backend & API development expertise to join their team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be adept at owning backend architecture, building scalable APIs, integrating databases, and fostering close collaboration with frontend and product teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on real-world production systems beyond simple CRUD applications.

Key Responsibilities: Backend & API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js & Express.js.
• Build secure authentication & authorization systems, including JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.
• Manage high-performance backend logic, asynchronous flows, and robust error handling.
• Optimize APIs for exceptional speed, scalability, and security.

Database & Architecture

• Design efficient schemas and expertly manage MongoDB, including indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Utilize relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) as needed for project requirements.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and reusable backend code following best practices.
• Implement effective caching strategies, with a preference for Redis.

Frontend (MERN)

• Develop responsive and engaging user interfaces using React.js.
• Seamlessly integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
• Implement state management solutions such as Redux or the Context API.

DevOps & Best Practices

• Demonstrate proficiency with Git/GitHub and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy applications on leading cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Adhere to established coding standards, security best practices, and maintain thorough documentation.

Required Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js.
• Proven expertise in REST API design & development.
• Proficiency in MongoDB (schema design, aggregation pipeline).
• Solid understanding of React.js fundamentals.
• Experience with authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Proficient use of Git & version control systems.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman / Swagger.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Redis / Message Queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Exposure to Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience with Serverless computing (AWS Lambda).
• Experience with payment gateway integration.
• Previous work on large-scale or high-traffic applications.

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In-person in Hyderabad, Telangana

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Node.js & Express, REST API Design, and MongoDB.
