Siemens EDA, a world leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, is seeking talented individuals to join our R&D and Software Engineering team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Our cutting-edge software empowers companies globally to accelerate the development of complex electronic products. This role focuses on enhancing Questa Visualizer, a critical debug platform used extensively in logic verification for System-on-Chips (SoCs), addressing the significant portion of engineering time dedicated to debugging.
As a Member of Consultancy Staff, you will be integral to the entire software development lifecycle. This includes conceptualizing and delivering robust software solutions, improving product quality, and working with innovative technologies. Your responsibilities will span functional specification writing, algorithm design, software development, test plan creation, testing, and software deployment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of technical experts and support top-tier international customers.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in EEE, ECE, or Computer Science from a reputable engineering college, with a minimum of 9 years of strong hands-on software development experience. Experience in EDA is highly desirable. Key qualifications include:
- Expertise in C/C++ programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms, with strong development skills on UNIX/LINUX platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with debugging and profiling tools (e.g., gdb, valgrind, makefiles, IDEs).
- A solid understanding of data structures and algorithm complexities.
- Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog are considered a plus.
- Exposure to EDA, particularly Simulation or Formal verification methodologies, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Tcl is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning is also a plus.
