Mechanical System Engineer

Your Impact:

• Lead the mechanical and systems technical scope for new packaged rotating equipment, including gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and extended plant scope (coolers, scrubbers, etc.) for onshore and offshore projects.
• Support Project Engineers in addressing technical concerns with internal and external clients, upholding the highest engineering standards in mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Analyze and resolve mechanical aspects of compressor and process system designs, integrating them with electrical and control systems (e.g., lube oil, fuel gas, seal gas systems).
• Develop contract P&IDs and Instrumentation wiring diagrams using COMOS.
• Assist production with equipment assembly through work instructions and redlining drawings, performing technical calculations for component sizing and fluid flow analysis.
• Provide technical and field service support through the warranty period and handover to service.
• Manage the Mechanical Engineering schedule, ensuring timely release of equipment specifications, bills of materials, and customer documentation.
• Collaborate professionally with customers, representing Siemens as a technical domain expert, and work closely with the Systems Engineering Manager.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and proven expertise in Rotating Equipment.
• Ability to interpret and convert client specifications into manufacturing/purchase specifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Experience with Engineering/PLM software such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira. Knowledge of API614, API692, and API617 is advantageous. Experience with SAP is required.
• Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
