Mechanical Engineer

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with a specialization in Fixture Design for our Bengaluru / Bangalore, India location. This is a permanent full-time position requiring 2-6 years of experience.

Your Role:

As a Design Engineer specializing in Fixture Design, you will be instrumental in the design, validation, and ongoing support of fixtures and engineering solutions for medical products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support verification, validation, and lifecycle management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fixtures to support product manufacturing and testing processes.
• Provide support for Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for both products and equipment.
• Engage in medical product design and development engineering tasks.
• Actively participate in Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes.
• Support sustenance projects, including implementing updates and improvements to existing products.
• Prepare essential documentation for product and equipment validation.
• Collaborate effectively with quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure full compliance with industry standards.

Your Profile:

• 2-6 years of hands-on experience in fixture design and product engineering.
• Strong exposure to Verification & Validation (V&V) processes.
• Proficiency in using CAD software such as Creo and SolidWorks.
• Experience in medical product design and development is highly advantageous.
• A solid understanding of Engineering Change Management (ECM) activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
• Mandatory experience with Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE).
• Proven track record in managing and executing sustenance engineering projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related engineering discipline.

Tools & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Creo
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience with ECM tools
• Familiarity with PLM systems
• Experience with documentation tools for validation and compliance
