Role Overview:

We are hiring for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with experience ranging from 2.3 to 5 years specifically within the Semiconductor industry sector in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

This is an onsite position located at HCL Technologies Limited's ELCOT SEZ facility (Sholinganallur), operating on a walk-in basis for October 10th between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The ideal candidate will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Create advanced 3D solid models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo and AutoCAD for products, fixtures, and sheet metal components.

Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and comprehensive engineering documentation.

Perform model validation, interference checks, and design reviews on large-scale assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.

Generate precise manufacturing drawings adhering to industry best practices.

Promote innovation through concept design activities from initial requirement analysis to final realization.

Apply rigorous GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for detailed engineering work.

Provide support involving welding and fabrication requirements where applicable, utilizing PLM tools like Enovia.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Possess 2.3 - 5 years of proven experience in Mechanical Design Engineering within the semiconductor or related fields.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in Solid Modeling, Assembly Modeling, and Product/Fixture/Sheet Metal Design.
Expertise in manufacturing drawing creation and BOM management.
Familiarity with handling large assemblies and performing model checks is essential.
Understanding of concept design processes and GD&T fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of welding concepts, fabrication techniques, and PLM tools (specifically Enovia or Windchill).
Show excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
