Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented MDM Analyst to join our Master Data Management team in Pune. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of Maersk's critical master data. Responsibilities include validating, updating, and maintaining master data records, conducting rigorous quality checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold stringent data governance standards. Success in this position requires robust problem-solving abilities, advanced SQL proficiency, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Data Validation & Updates: Accurately validate and update master data requests, strictly adhering to established data quality rules and accommodating country-specific exceptions.
• Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks on master data to proactively identify and rectify inaccuracies, ensuring optimal data accuracy and consistency across all integrated systems.
• Vendor & Customer Data Management: Efficiently update vendor and customer master data in compliance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and internal data management guidelines.
• Duplicate Resolution: Skillfully identify, analyze, and resolve duplicate records within the master data system to preserve a clean, reliable, and unified dataset.
• Data Governance Collaboration: Work closely with Data Steward and Governance teams to actively support ongoing data quality initiatives and master data clean-up projects.
• Process Documentation: Develop and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all master data processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Engage effectively in discussions with Business Partners and Stakeholders, providing prompt and professional responses to ad-hoc requirements and inquiries.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Employ SQL queries to extract and analyze data for comprehensive quality assessments and diverse reporting needs.
• Dashboard Development: Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for effective monitoring and reporting of master data quality metrics and key trends.
• Audit & Compliance: Provide support for audit requirements and ensure ongoing compliance with all master data guidelines and internal control frameworks.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements within data management and propose innovative solutions to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Demonstrated experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or a closely related data-centric field.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive mindset for resolving data integrity issues.
• SQL Proficiency: Strong command of SQL for effective data extraction and in-depth analysis.
