Source One, a consulting services company based in Summit, NJ, is seeking a skilled Materials Planner to join a global consumer products company. This role is crucial for ensuring the continuous supply of various materials, requiring close collaboration with manufacturing sites and meticulous management of inventory levels to meet customer demands and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate as the Lead Planner for key strategic sites, guiding all supply planning discussions.
Develop capacity-feasible supply plans and deliver them to manufacturing sites on a prescribed schedule.
Collaborate with assigned sites to create short-term production schedules, considering site constraints, customer service, and inventory targets.
Execute planning scenarios focused on meeting customer service and/or inventory targets while minimizing excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory.
Manage long-term planning for strategic suppliers and participate in supplier capacity reviews.
Deploy inventory planning strategies to maintain and improve service levels and optimize inventory investment.
Actively participate in annual Entitlement activities to establish inventory goals.
Actively resolve Slow-Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory disposition.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure on-time completion of planning milestones for new products and product changes.
Achieve a balance between base business and project requirements to meet customer service and inventory targets.
Develop and communicate achievable supply plans aligned with project timelines and deliverables, supporting launch inventory targets and promotional activities.
Support Master Data setup within SAP/APO.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree is required; a focus in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Logistics is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of professional business experience is required, preferably in Production Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Distribution, Manufacturing, and/or Transportation.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel charts, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP features without guidance.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, demonstrate initiative, and possess strong analytical skills.
Strong analytical, quantitative, decision-making, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in inventory management, SAP APO, or SAP ECC.
An advanced degree is preferred.
