Materials Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Qualification and Work Experience
- Degree in Polymer or Chemical Engineering.
- Approximately 1 year of experience in handling adhesives and sealants, performing fabric testing, and conducting plastics and rubber testing according to ASTM standards.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in basic data entry using MS Office.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to specifications, test methods, drawings, work instructions, and standard job instructions without deviation.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Awareness of environment, health, and safety protocols.
Specific Responsibilities
- Daily planning of sample preparation and testing activities.
- Coordination with the test lab to ensure timely completion of tests as per the schedule.
- Collection of test data from various stakeholders.
- Compilation and organization of test results.
- Execution of tests in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Management of lab samples and materials according to lifecycle procedures.
- Adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Collaboration with logistics for sample movement, both within internal and external labs.
- Liaison with departmental heads for material approval processes.
- Support for mechanical testing activities, including operation of Universal Testing Machines and flame chambers.
- Regular maintenance of test equipment and tools; maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Managing inventory of supplies and materials for prototype/test setups, following all safety procedures.
- Strict adherence to directions and procedures without any deviations.
