Market Developer

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for designated markets, products, and applications. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify and penetrate new markets and applications. Define and articulate ExxonMobil's value proposition for assigned markets and applications. This role may involve establishing initial customer relationships, which will subsequently be transitioned to Sales Representatives for commercial transactions. The focus will be on marketing for the Polypropylene organization, potentially spanning segments such as hygiene, automotive, appliances, or other emerging sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop market plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Identify and analyze target market segments, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
• Assess ExxonMobil's market application fit and understand customer requirements, translating these into product/service needs and defining sales opportunity pipelines.
• Conduct value chain and value-in-use analyses, maintaining a deep understanding of customer value delivered by ExxonMobil and internal cost economics.
• Serve as the marketing lead for new product and/or process gate development, including business case creation, stakeholder alignment, and stewardship of internal and external parties.
• Coordinate cross-functional relationships to execute marketing tactics, tools, and training that support relevant markets and products/services.
• Develop targeted communication plans for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage with industry associations to identify opportunities that align with ExxonMobil's strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a reputable institution with a minimum academic record of 70% or above.
• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an Engineering degree is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial sales or marketing, demonstrating a strong techno-commercial mindset for customer, product, and application development.
• Relevant market-facing experience in sales or marketing roles.
• Prior work experience in the plastics and resin industry, petrochemical industry, automotive industry, or compounding conversion industry is highly desirable.
• Flexibility to relocate anywhere within India.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and analytical capabilities.
• Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
