Manager

Transcend, a national nonprofit organization based in the United States, is seeking a Manager, Usable Knowledge to join our team. We empower communities to reimagine and redesign K-12 schools, ensuring every young person can thrive in our rapidly evolving world. In this role, you will translate research and real-world educational practices into actionable resources, supporting schools in creating impactful learning experiences for all children. You will develop informative resources, shape research questions in collaboration with your manager and team, and synthesize knowledge into clear, concise written materials for school and school system audiences. Your work will involve organizing, formatting, and visualizing content to ensure it is both useful and cohesive with our existing resources. You'll also analyze resource utilization to improve existing offerings and prioritize new ones. Strong project management is essential as you drive collaborative projects forward, developing and managing personal and project learning plans. You will work independently and collaboratively, receive and act on feedback, and contribute to a positive team culture through shared systems and norms. Collaboration with teammates will be key to supporting resource creation, access, and use. You will establish scopes of work with your manager, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and communication align with project needs and user vision. Operationalizing these scopes involves bringing insights and questions to your team, while keeping stakeholders updated on progress. You will also assist other Transcend teams in accessing, understanding, and applying Usable Knowledge resources. This role includes participating in external engagements and relationship building, fostering connections with experts and peer organizations, and helping to plan and facilitate learning sessions at local and national events.
