Manager, Security Engineering and Automation - Hyderabad

Trinet Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead their Security Engineering and Automation team in Hyderabad, India. This role is pivotal in guiding a team of security engineers focused on critical areas such as cloud security, Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and Identity and Access Management (IAM). The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers high-quality, timely results that support key program initiatives and enhance the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of security engineers in Hyderabad, specializing in cloud security, SOAR, and IAM.
• Provide daily oversight, support, and guidance to ensure effective task execution and project milestones are met.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment that encourages engagement and accountability.
• Offer project management support, including planning and tracking to ensure timely delivery of work packages and deliverables.

Security Engineering Oversight:

• Oversee the daily operations of the SOAR platform, focusing on playbook, workbook, and connector configuration for seamless integration with security tools.
• Support cloud security engineers in establishing and maintaining robust cloud security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with compliance requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide support and oversight for IAM engineers, ensuring secure management of privileged access (PAM), authentication methods, and identity hygiene.
• Act as a key liaison, effectively communicating security needs, risks, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
• Review and validate key security engineering metrics to ensure performance and effectiveness.
• Champion a security-first culture throughout the engineering team and the wider organization by promoting best practices.
• Maintain regular communication and provide updates to senior security engineering management on team progress, achievements, and challenges.

People Management:

• Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative work environment that promotes staff engagement and teamwork.
• Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable for their performance, and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
