Manager

NielsenIQ is seeking a Manager, Engineering with expertise in Python Backend to join our Technology teams in Pune, India. You will be instrumental in developing our new “Connect” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients worldwide depend on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to drive innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client and user requirements.
• Develop innovative programs that meet specified requirements.
• Enhance existing programs by adding features or improving efficiency.
• Conduct thorough testing and make adjustments to ensure reliable program performance.
• Identify and resolve program bugs.
• Create technical specifications and instructions.
• Work effectively within an agile development environment using agile tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of programming expertise, with a strong focus on Python and PySpark. Proficiency in coding complex algorithms in Python is essential; R is also considered.
• Experience developing SQL databases and creating applications to interface with them.
• Solid experience in Unix environments.
• Knowledge of Docker and Azure AKS.
• Experience deploying Python applications to Docker containers.
• Familiarity with Python FastAPI.
• Working knowledge of code coverage tools and security tools.
• Experience with cloud components such as VMs, AKS, ASB, and BLOB storage.
