About the Role: Manager, Data Science (Healthcare AI)

Innovaccer is seeking a visionary Manager, Data Science with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI to lead the development of advanced AI-driven solutions within the healthcare sector. This role demands a profound understanding of healthcare data and the capability to design and implement sophisticated language models. Your work will focus on extracting insights, automating workflows, and enhancing clinical decision-making. You will be pivotal in shaping the next generation of AI-driven tools, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), deep learning, and predictive analytics to personalize patient care based on clinical and behavioral histories. A Day in the Life

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Define and execute the quarterly AI/ML roadmap, setting clear goals and deliverables.
• Collaborate with business leaders and customers to identify pain points and develop large-scale solutions.
• Design technical architectures for productizing machine learning algorithms and bringing them to market.
• Work with data platform and applications teams to integrate data science capabilities into products and workflows.
• Manage projects and stakeholders, aligning AI/ML initiatives with company objectives through cross-functional collaboration.

What You Need

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in Data Science; healthcare experience is a significant plus.
• Extensive experience with deep learning techniques for building NLP and Computer Vision models, as well as state-of-the-art Generative AI (GenAI) pipelines.
• Demonstrable experience deploying deep learning models in production at scale with iterative improvements.
• Hands-on expertise with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong hands-on experience building GenAI applications, including LLM-based workflows and optimization techniques. Knowledge of implementing agentic workflows is advantageous.
• A keen interest in AI/ML research and staying updated with industry advancements. Patents or publications in AI/ML are a great addition.
• Hands-on experience with ML platforms like Databricks, Azure ML, or Amazon SageMaker.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
