Full Job Description
Bradley Professional is actively recruiting a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for a valued client located in Lexington, North Carolina. This pivotal role involves comprehensive oversight of daily maintenance operations within a dynamic metal fabrication facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will be instrumental in planning and scheduling all maintenance activities, effectively coordinating a team of technicians, and ensuring the optimal reliability of critical equipment to support continuous production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage daily and weekly maintenance schedules to support production requirements
- Prioritize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Track work orders and ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks
- Maintain maintenance logs, schedules, and documentation related to equipment service
- Supervise and support maintenance technicians to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Assign daily responsibilities and monitor progress to ensure team members remain on task and productive
- Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to maintenance staff
- Promote accountability and maintain clear communication within the maintenance team
- Assist with training and mentoring technicians to improve skill levels and performance
- Oversee maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment such as CNC machines, press brakes, laser cutters, welding equipment, and material handling systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed and continuously improved
- Work with management to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and efficiency improvements
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team
- Maintain proper documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance procedures
Requirements
Must Have:
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with maintenance scheduling and work order systems
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience in maintenance supervision within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Technical training, certification, or relevant trade experience
Skills
This role requires proficiency in industrial equipment maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic), maintenance scheduling, work order systems, leadership, team management, task prioritization, multi-project management, communication, and organization. Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication maintenance supervision, along with relevant technical training or trade experience, is preferred.
