Maintenance Lead Engineer

Alstom seeks a full-time Signalling and Train Control Maintenance Engineer for its operations in Delhi, India. This role involves ensuring the reliable operation of automatic train control systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, and Customer Service teams; performing preventive and corrective maintenance; servicing and repairing signalling gear; preparing detailed intervention reports; and ensuring the integrity of onboard equipment. The engineer will also work with customer maintenance teams to resolve anomalies.

Key duties include following maintenance schedules, attending to signalling equipment in SER Rooms (e.g., SDTC ATS, ATC, IXL, onboard equipment), preparing failure and intervention reports, collaborating with customer Level 1 maintenance teams, collecting and analyzing failure data, performing double-checks on failure cards/gears on test benches, and assisting in all maintenance activities.

Ideal candidates will possess a Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, or Instrumentation, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in urban signalling systems, including testing, commissioning, design, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance for safety-critical systems is essential. Familiarity with Distance to Go and Alstom U200 solutions is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving, adaptability, communication, and collaboration skills are also required.
