Macro/ VBA Developer

Join EY's GDS Assurance Digital team in Kolkata, India, as a Macro/VBA Developer. You will contribute to developing and implementing technology solutions that enhance our audit services and support engagement teams. This role involves leveraging your deep audit-related technical knowledge, outstanding database, data analytics, and programming skills to address the increasing demands for data collection, organization, and analysis in the audit field.

As a Macro/VBA Developer, you will work closely with partners, clients, and subject matter experts to create technology solutions that add value, improve efficiency, and provide market-leading tools for Assurance. The GDS Assurance Digital team is responsible for solution architecture, application development, testing, and maintenance for the global Assurance service line.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MCA & MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with relevant industry experience.
• 2-4 years of experience as a developer in Core MS Excel, VBA, and MS Access.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Macro-based solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using Connection String functions to connect with various data sources (SQL, Spreadsheets, etc.).
• Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and graphing.
• Strong experience in developing Macros using Email Objects.
• Develop, maintain, and support existing MS Excel VBA applications, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Good understanding of basic SQL queries.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Experience in .NET development.
• Experience running projects in a SCRUM framework.

Analytical and Decision-Making Skills:

• Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and apply technology to data modeling, analysis, visualization, and process automation.
• Proficiency in selecting and applying appropriate standards, methods, tools, and applications.
