Machine Learning Engineer (Remote)

Jobs Ai is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer for a remote position. This role focuses on the development, evaluation, and enhancement of AI models. You will be instrumental in constructing training pipelines, assessing model outputs with structured rubrics, and ensuring model quality at a large scale. The ideal candidate possesses strong foundational knowledge in machine learning, meticulous attention to detail, and proven experience in deploying models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models utilizing both structured and unstructured data.
• Assess the quality of AI and LLM outputs through structured rubrics and edge case analysis.
• Develop and maintain robust training and evaluation pipelines.
• Contribute to iterative model improvement cycles based on quality feedback.
• Clearly document experiments, key findings, and model behavior.
• Collaborate with research and product teams to shape model strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• A solid understanding of core ML concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, and evaluation metrics.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting experiments and model behavior.
• Strong analytical reasoning and a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in evaluating LLM output quality.
• Background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
• Previous contributions to open-source ML projects.
