Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role: As a Founding Machine Learning Engineer at a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company in India (remote), you will be among the first ML hires shaping product modeling from the ground up. You'll have direct input into development priorities and move rapidly from prototype to shipped feature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rapid Model Shipping: Prototype and ship ML-powered features directly into production, often within days rather than traditional sprints.
• Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs or smaller models for specific use cases.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy calls between in-house development and third-party APIs.
• Ownership & Scale: Establish lightweight but robust infrastructure for training, evaluation, and deployment as the product scales.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

2 to 6 years of applied machine learning experience with at least one shipped product. You must be comfortable working in ambiguous environments with thin specs, possess strong Python skills, familiarity with modern LLM/ML tooling, and reliable remote-work setup.
