Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

We are a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company building our founding India engineering team. As an early Machine Learning Engineer at Flexiple's managed marketplace for global GCCs in India, you will be one of the first ML hires shaping product models from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapid Model Shipping: Prototype and ship ML-powered features directly into production within days rather than standard sprints.
• Fine-tuning & Evaluation: Optimize LLMs or smaller models for specific use cases with direct input on what gets built next.
• Build-vs-Buy Decisions: Make pragmatic calls between in-house model development and third-party API integration.
• Ownership & Scale: Establish lightweight but robust infrastructure for training, evaluation, and deployment as the product scales.

Ideal Candidate

You bring 2 to 6 years of applied machine learning experience with at least one shipped product. You are comfortable working with ambiguity, thin specs, and fast-changing priorities in a remote-first environment. Strong Python skills and familiarity with modern LLM tooling are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, or prompt-based systems.
• Prior tenure at early-stage startups as founding engineers.
