Overview
Join the E3 team at Amazon to work on one of the world's largest online retail search applications. You will leverage your software engineering expertise to develop innovative customer experiences using Machine Learning, Document Retrieval, and Search Engine Technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop highly innovative machine learning projects within the Search domain.
• Analyze vast datasets to uncover patterns and seize new opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with ML experts to validate models through rigorous statistical experiments impacting millions of users.
• Build scalable prototypes in partnership with scientists, integrating successful algorithms into large-scale production systems (using Big Data, NoSQL, Map-Reduce).
• Bridge technical and non-technical teams to deliver results effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and Big Data technologies (NoSQL, Map-Reduce).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Machine Learning approaches and complex distributed systems.
• Proficiency in multiple major programming languages (e.g., C++, Java) plus scripting languages like Python or Perl.
• Interest in Document Retrieval, Search Engines (Lucene), or NLP.
