This graduate role focuses on building the search engine that delivers relevant experiences for TikTok's massive user base. You will improve search algorithms by integrating content and video understanding, modeling user behavior, applying machine learning to recommendations, and optimizing systems engineering.

• Content Understanding: Leverage cutting-edge NLP, Computer Vision (CV), and Large Language Models (LLM) to match the most relevant videos for every search query, continuously enhancing relevance in TikTok Search.
  
  
• User Behavior Modeling: Tackle recommendation challenges within search. Increase personalization capabilities beyond simple 'relevance' by deeply understanding user behaviors.
• Video Understanding: Utilize NLP, CV, and LLM to gain comprehensive insights into videos from both technical and social perspectives, improving the authority, credibility, and usefulness of search results.
  
  
• Search Systems Engineering: Design, build, test, and maintain scalable services, data pipelines, tools, or platform components that ensure high quality, reliability, low latency, and optimal user experience.
