Job Opportunity: Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision & LLM in Bengaluru / Bangalore

Applexus Technologies is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Computer Vision and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team in Bengaluru / Bangalore. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy deep learning models, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Vision Transformers, and YOLO, for image-based tasks within production systems.
• Research and implement advanced algorithms for image processing, content-based video/image analysis, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
• Apply your expertise in fine-tuning LLMs for specific domain use cases, focusing on document analysis and improving operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of machine learning models, ensuring their performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing and new products.

Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is preferred, along with 3+ years of industry experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar areas.
• Strong theoretical understanding and practical experience in developing algorithms for computer vision tasks.
• Proven experience in fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications.
• Familiarity with deploying ML models in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for scalable production use.
• Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning libraries including PyTorch, OpenCV, and Hugging Face is essential.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent optimization, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience handling and visualizing large datasets and generating performance reports.
• Experience with iOS CoreImage/CoreML and native App development is a significant advantage.
• A strong grasp of deep learning principles across both Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with LLM architectures like BERT and GPT, particularly their application and fine-tuning for manufacturing settings, is a plus.
