Machine Learning Engineer at Qualcomm

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join a new and growing team focused on advancing state-of-the-art in Machine Learning. This role involves leveraging Qualcomm chips' heterogeneous computing capabilities to enable on-device neural network execution without cloud connectivity. The team engineers an inference engine designed for running neural network models trained in various frameworks on Snapdragon platforms at high speeds with minimal power consumption, impacting billions of mobile devices and advanced automotive features.

Responsibilities

• Develop test frameworks for Qualcomm Neural Network (QNN).
• Work with neural network frameworks such as TensorFlow and Pytorch.
• Develop validation frameworks to assess QNN functionality, performance, precision, and power consumption.
• Engage with cutting-edge Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) from the research community.
• Stay current with industry and academic developments to continuously enhance benchmarking and validation infrastructure from both software engineering and machine learning perspectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Expertise in developing, automating, and executing test cases, including troubleshooting and problem analysis.
• Strong development skills in Python.
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning/Deep Learning workflows.
• Experience with at least one machine learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, Pytorch).
• Proficiency in quality software development with excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a globally diverse team with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good time management, effective teamwork, and self-driven attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong exposure to software testing methodologies and reporting.
• Experience with CI tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Development experience in Python and C++.

Work Experience

1 to 6 years of relevant work experience in software development/test development.

Educational Requirements

• Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
