LLM Engineer

About The Role

Algoscale is looking for a skilled LLM (Large Language Model) Engineer to join our expanding AI/ML team in Noida, India. This role is perfect for someone with practical experience in modern natural language processing (NLP) systems, large-scale model training, fine-tuning, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to create and refine solutions leveraging cutting-edge language models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate large language models (LLMs) for diverse applications.
• Implement advanced prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning methodologies to enhance model outputs.
• Develop robust pipelines for data preprocessing, tokenization, and dataset curation.
• Optimize model performance, focusing on latency, throughput, and cost-efficiency for production environments.
• Integrate LLMs seamlessly into applications, APIs, and business workflows.
• Conduct research and experimentation with novel NLP and generative AI architectures, frameworks, and techniques.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Uphold ethical AI principles, data security, and compliance with AI governance standards.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with key libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Demonstrated experience in fine-tuning LLMs, including models like GPT, LLaMA, Falcon, and Mistral.
• Solid understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of distributed systems, model optimization techniques, and deployment strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and familiarity with LangChain / LlamaIndex.
• Exposure to MLOps tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, Vertex AI, or SageMaker.
• A background in data engineering and pipeline automation is advantageous.
• Relevant publications, open-source contributions, or personal projects in NLP/LLMs.
• A strong aptitude for problem-solving and a research-oriented mindset.
