Role Overview

We are seeking a Litigation & Practice Technology Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will learn and assist with technical support for litigation support software applications while ensuring accurate data management within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your skills to utilize, maintain, and troubleshoot litigation support software applications.
  • Process tickets to load received files onto network file servers based on specific file types.
  • Manage complex data tasks including loading/extracting delimited text, performing normalization, global edits, duplicate removal, and merging data into index databases.
  • Execute quality checks and image loads using industry-leading tools like Relativity, Excel, and other data analysis software.
  • Create standard document productions per case team specifications.
  • Spearhead quality assurance measures across all operational processes.
  • Collaborate with the eDiscovery Operations Manager to evaluate archiving and deletion procedures for departmental data.
  • Interface effectively with the Records department regarding data lifecycle issues.
  • Maintain accurate lists of data candidates for deletion or archival.
  • Execute commands for copying, QC-ing data copies, and deleting data as needed.
  • Assist in media duplication, creation, tracking, and destruction protocols.

Growth & Requirements:

This position offers a pathway to Technician II requirements, allowing you to function independently on rotating on-call schedules. You will gain experience creating document productions and managing after-hours tickets during assigned periods.

Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams under pressure
- Flexibility for overtime when required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CMIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with databases (SQL) and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with litigation database applications such as Relativity, LAW, NUIX, Case Map, HighQ, etc.
  • Previous experience at a law firm or litigation support vendor is highly valued.
