Liferay Tech Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Lead (Liferay) to build a B2B eCommerce platform for a leading pharmaceutical brand in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is primarily a coding role where you will set technical standards by writing complex code and reviewing others' work.

Key Responsibilities

• Coding & Architecture: Write production-grade Liferay customization, backend services, and integrations using Java. Break down architecture into buildable tasks and challenge designs for implementation reality.
  
  
• Team Leadership (Distributed): Lead a distributed engineering team across the UK and India day-to-day through sprint ownership, code reviews, pairing sessions, and technical direction rather than traditional line management.

Liferay & Commerce: Utilize Liferay DXP expertise including OSGi modules, Service Builder, REST APIs, fragments, workflow, and specific experience with Liferay Commerce (catalogues, pricing, carts).

Solid Integration Engineering: Implement robust integrations using REST messaging and enterprise patterns.

• Pipeline & Release Management: Own the build/release pipeline, environments, branching strategy, and observability/logging setup.
