Software Development Engineer III - Frontend Architecture

This role extends beyond coding to solving complex distributed systems challenges, designing for scale, and mentoring fellow engineers. You will play a key role in architecting and scaling our desktop application platform, ensuring its reliability, implementing auto-updates, secure local execution, and seamless integration with cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js.
• Build reusable components and frontend libraries for future use.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-perfect code.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows, such as Redux.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms like JSON Web Token.
• Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools.
• Experience with common frontend development tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Familiarity with different frontend architectures, such as micro-frontends, is a plus.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Ability to conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a Tier 1 college or university.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in frontend development.
