Lead VAVE Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead VAVE Engineer (Mechanical) based in Hyderabad to drive strategic cost-out initiatives and lead global Supplier Change and Life Cycle Management projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design and qualify products for global manufacturing while reducing costs through rigorous Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end VAVE studies to identify quality-neutral cost-out opportunities.
• Collaborate with global teams, sourcing, operations, and R&D on Supplier LCM projects from qualification through implementation.
• Drive product cost analysis, teardowns, competitive benchmarking, and design standardization across sites.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical engineering expertise to deliver projects timely, within specification, and at or below targeted costs.
• Mentor team members, coordinate technical training, and build proficiency in global qualification standards (e.g., IATF 16949).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with a proven track record in strategic cost-out and VAVE deliveries.
• Certification: VASE (Value Analysis/Synthesis) preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
• Expertise in product teardowns, value engineering tools, and regulatory compliance/certifications.
• Exceptional stakeholder influence skills with the ability to work rationally across complex global matrices.
