Lead Test Engineer

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to join our System Development Tools team in Pune, India, as part of our global development partner hub. You will play a crucial role in advancing our core software platforms, including PLUS+1® GUIDE, a graphical development environment for rapid configuration of electrohydraulic control systems, and the PLUS+1® Service Tool, a sophisticated platform for hardware flashing, parameter tuning, diagnostics, and log data capture. You may also contribute to the PLUS+1® Mobile Service Tool for wireless diagnostics.

In this role, you will lead testing efforts for PLUS+1® GUIDE and the PLUS+1® Service Tool, covering desktop, diagnostics, and mobile workflows. You will be responsible for defining and implementing strategic test plans to ensure functionality, safety, and quality. A key aspect of this position involves mentoring junior engineers, promoting best practices, and enhancing the overall quality of our test framework. You will also collaborate with global teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines for tool releases and updates.

We are looking for candidates with advanced scripting skills for TestComplete/Selenium automation (JavaScript, Java, Python, C#) and a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to improve test framework flexibility. Deep experience in TestComplete and Selenium Desktop/Web automation is essential, with preferred experience in API testing using Postman or Rest Assured. A strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including test case management and pipelines, is required. The ability to test desktop GUI tools and engineering diagnostics tools, along with designing robust test strategies for complex, safety-critical applications, is also critical.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, over 5 years of experience in software test engineering with a focus on automation, and familiarity with Windows-based automation tools. Experience with control/diagnostics environments, mobile testing, or hydraulics domain knowledge is a bonus. Excellent English communication skills and experience working in global teams are highly valued.
